On July 5, Matthew Silvester, our Associate Director, was one of the guest speakers at the Council on Tall Buildings and Urban Habitat (CTBUH) Thailand event held at the Grand Hyatt Erawan.

Matthew delivered his talk on the M&E aspects of building “Tall & Green” which becomes a really important topic and a global concern on how to design and promote environmentally beneficial solutions and technologies.

The topic focused particularly on SUSTAINABLE HIGH-RISE OFFICES (M&E) DESIGN & CERTIFICATION which Matthew is specialized in and has gathered information from his direct experiences in leading one of Meinhardt’s M&E teams.

About Matthew Silvester; Associate Director holds 15 years of experience. Based in Bangkok office, he runs one of Meinhardt Thailand’s largest M&E teams. Matthew is a Chartered Engineer, originally from Ireland. He has worked on projects throughout Thailand, Myanmar, Malaysia, Cambodia, Bangladesh, the UK and Ireland. He started off as a Mechanical Engineer and can lay claim to being the youngest person ever to become a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE).
