Discipline Leader - Electrical

Liaise with Director and other discipline leaders to set up design standards, master specification, and standards for document for the electrical department.
Check and monitor project work for the electrical discipline to ensure quality and consistency across the electrical department.
Conduct design review/peer review for electrical design at project milestones.
Consult and advise designers on technical matters.
Act as lead electrical designer on key projects.
Maintain the technical E-Library and Catalogue E-Library for your discipline.
Conduct R&D for continuous improvement using new design methods, tools, and technologies.
Organise and monitor the education and training of electrical staff in the electrical department.
Conduct monthly discipline meetings and record proceedings.
Monitor performance and adequacy of each engineer for pay rise/promotion evaluation that is done jointly by Team Leader/Discipline Leader.
Assist the recruitment of engineers for electrical discipline.

Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university.
Minimum 12 years of working experience in designs in relation to building works.
Solid Knowledge – Concept Design Electrical System, Communication system.
Strong Engineering designs background in Electrical (Power Supply, Lighting, Lightening, Communication, Fire Alarm and Elevator Systems).
Good knowledge of analysis and design with computer software such as BIM/Naviswork.
Excellent communication, strong leadership, problem solving and decision-making skills.
Fluent in spoken and written English.
