One Bangkok
Since 2019, Meinhardt has been working closely with the client and several project teams to bring “One Bangkok” to life. Our work spans across both the building’s exterior and its interior.
Façade Engineering Design: Our Façade team is involved in the façade design of all the buildings in the development – a total of 17 buildings, ensuring the façades are not only aesthetically pleasing but also watertight, maintainable, energy-efficient and comfortable for the occupants. We have coordinated with multiple teams of architects and other consultants to deliver the best possible facade solutions for this project.
Lighting Design: For “The Coming Soon Project – O1B Building,” a 50-story, 263.5-meter office tower, our lighting design team has worked closely with renown architects Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM) and lighting designer Fisher Marantz Stone, to create a lighting mood and tone, that harmonizes aesthetics and functionality. Our design process included:
• Lighting Concept: To align with SOM and FMS’ vision, we developed a lighting concept that captures the tower’s architectural essence while creating inviting and productive workspaces.
• Calculations: To ensure optimal lighting levels meet the Bangkok Code and Grade-A office standards, innovative strategies to minimize energy consumption were utilized to achieve LEED and WELL certifications.
• Mock-ups: To ensure that all details properly achieved the desired effect in advance of finalizing the actual executed installation.
• Scene Setting: To set the appropriate amount of light on walls and floors, Meinhardt engineered spaces that were visually comfortable, provided energy savings and enhanced occupant well-being.
MEP Engineering Design: For The One Bangkok Forum building, we provided MEP engineering design for the multi-purpose hall, which will function as a convention center and includes a main convention/seminar hall that can seat 4,876 people.
Traffic Engineering Design: We also provided Traffic planning and engineering for the whole project.
The result is a world-class building that sets a new benchmark in design, engineering, and sustainability. Meinhardt is proud to have contributed to this iconic project, shaping the future of Bangkok’s skyline.
