CxA Engineer (MEP Commissioning Engineer)
Responsibilities:
- Provide commissioning services in line with requirements of green building certification schemes such as LEED, TREES, etc, including:
- Developing and reviewing the owner’s project requirements (OPR), and the Basis of Design (BOD) documents,
- Prepare commissioning related specifications and commissioning plans
- Carry out a commissioning review the design drawings
- Initiate and manage commissioning meetings with the contractors
- Review and approve pre-functional and functional test checklists and inspection forms
- Help coordinate the commissioning process, including construction site visits and spot checks of the testing process.
- Review and ensure completeness of the contractor’s commissioning documents for submission to the certification bodies and of the contractor’s handover documents.
- Carry out energy and water conservation audits of existing buildings and report on findings, including recommended energy and water saving measures.
- Carry out additional green building certification related duties as required, to assist Meinhardt’s ESD team.
- This role will involve collaborating with architects, engineers, contractors, clients, and other stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate should possess a strong background in MVAC design and installation and LEED certification, and with a keen interest in contributing to environmentally conscious design practices.
Qualifications:
- Native Thai speaker.
- Good spoken and written English.
- Mechanical Engineering degree.
- Around 3 years plus experience in commissioning of MEP systems in buildings.
- Effective communication skills to convey complex technical information to diverse project stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.
- Interest in sustainable building design.
- Familiarity with ACAD.
- Familiarity with BIM/Navisworks software an advantage.
- Good computer skills (Word, Excel, Powerpoint).
