Safety Officer

Responsibilities:

  • Become familiar with the Site Safety Working Procedures.
  • Shall assist the Contractor in the preparation of appropriate Safety Procedures.
  • Shall monitor Contractor’s daily Safety Performance, and assist in Weekly Safety.
  • Meetings at the worker level and document Contractor’s Safety Program results.
  • Report to the Resident Engineer regarding the safety measures of the Contractor.
  • Attend Weekly, Monthly Site Safety Meetings with Contractor.
  • Prepare minutes of safety meetings and reports detailing health and safety within their assigned project site.
  • Day-to-day liaison with Client’s Safety Officer.
  • Monitor incidents of injury, illness, and other situations within an assigned geographic area.
  • Design strategies to reduce incidents of illness, environmental accidents, and other issues that may affect public safety.
  • Design training programs to provide safety awareness education.
  • Regularly inspect equipment.
  • Led HSE observation patrol, recording, and follow-up for hazard mitigation and closeout.
  • Assist general site office admin work and other tasks as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or any related field.
  • Minimum 1 year of working experience related to cost estimate, cost management, payment certification.
  • Good Computer skills in MS Office (Word, Excel and Power Points).
  • Good knowledge computer software in AutoCAD.
